October is the first full month of fall! There are plenty of events throughout the month that you can use to educate your class. Visit the Scholastic website for a list of topics and teaching activites for the month of October.
Celebrate Columbus Day this month with featured lesson plans, multimedia resources, discussion questions, arts and crafts, and poems at The lesson plans page. Your students will have fun learning about geography and the history of the New World as they track this explorer's journey. Visit the About.com website to learn facts and myths about Christopher Columbus.
